Didot Type Specimen Booklet

This booklet displays the Didot typeface with my research on the history of the typeface, the anatomy that makes Didot modern, and a look at how the font has developed over time and used in modern culture. I was inspired by the aesthetic of fashion, lifestyle, and entertainment brands such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, which both utilize the Didot font in their branding. I decided to base my booklet on a magazine, focusing on the specific Hierarchies practiced. The modern typeface created a bold look, which paired perfectly with a sans serif font exhibiting my research.
